The soaking rains from what was Hurricane Frances have finally
moved away, allowing for sunny days and clear, crisp evenings.
Next week we will be watching what Hurricane Ivan has in store
for the East Coast.
Gradually, the higher elevations in New York and northern New
England are transitioning to the low color category (11%-30%
change). In the coming weeks, the map will begin to change to
yellow and orange as the foliage season really gets colorful.
Leaf drop throughout the Northeast is very low.
