Foliage Report #19

November 5, 2005

The calendar says it is November, but it feels like early October in much of the Northeast as temperature in many areas reached into the 70's. The strange fall continues...

The best foliage viewing can be found in much of southern New England, western New York, the lower Hudson Valley of New York and much of middle and southern Pennsylvania. Most of northern New England and the higher elevations in New York are now past peak.

Leaf drop is high to nearly complete in areas where color is at or past peak. Elsewhere in the region, leaf drop is moderate to high.
