The foliage season is kicking in to high gear in much of northern New England and in New York's Adirondack Mountains. Many of these areas are now reporting moderate color (31% - 60 % change) with some of the highest elevation perhaps showing a bit more color. This is a great time to view the foliage because you still have some green trees among those changing, providing for a great contrast of colors. In southern New England, the balance of New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, foliage conditions vary from little/no change (0% - 10% change) to low color (11% - 30% change).
Leaf drop is mostly very low in the Northeast with the exception of those areas with moderate color. Leaf drop in those areas is low.
