Foliage Report #13

October 18, 2006

Now is a great time to view the foliage in areas reporting high to peak color. Those areas include much of southern New England, coastal Maine, southern New Hampshire, much of upstate New York, central and northern Pennsylvania, and northern New Jersey. Moderate color is being reported in coastal regions of Massachusetts, much of southern Pennsylvania, central and southern New Jersey and downstate New York. The foliage season is over, for the mostpart, in central and northern Maine, northern New Hampshire, much of Vermont and portions of the Adirondack and Catskill Mountains where peak has now passed.

Leaf drop is high to nearly complete in those areas past peak. Elsewhere leaf drop is mostly moderate with low leaf drop in southern New Jersey.
