Foliage Reports - Northeast United States

Foliage Report #13

October 20 , 2007

More locations in northern New England are passing the peak as October starts to wind down. Much of northern Maine and the higher elevations of New Hampshire and northeast New York have gone past peak. Portions of northeastern Vermont have also passed peak. Peak color can be found in non-coastal locations in southern Maine, central New Hampshire, much of Vermont and locations in northeast New York that have not passed peak. The Catskill Mountains in southern New York are also at the height of the foliage color.

Elsewhere in the region, color change is mostly moderate to high. The only areas still reporting low color include downstate New York, coastal New Jersey and extreme southeastern Pennsylvania.

Leaf drop is moderate to high in locations at or past peak and low in areas with low to moderate color.
