White Mountains
|
The White Mountains Region is one of New Hampshire's
most acclaimed regions. One key attraction is Mount Washington, the highest spot in
the Northeast (6,288 feet above sea level). It is also home to the White Mountain
National Forest, offering a haven for hikers, bikers, and of course, leaf peepers!

Lakes Region
|
Aptly named, the Lakes Region of New Hampshire
features 273 lakes and ponds, highlighted by the 72 square mile Lake Winnipesaukee,
the largest in the state. There are many activities to participate in, from swimming
and fishing, to waterparks and boat tours. Just imagine how stunning the foliage
must look against a lake backdrop!

Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee
|
The Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee Region is best knows for
its many colleges and academies, Dartmouth being the most widely known. The
Connecticut River also runs along the western edge of the region, allowing for
many water-related activities.

Monadnock Region
|
The Monadnock Region, known for its quaint villages, rolling
farmlands, and historic mills, give this region a quintessential "New England" look and feel.
Stay at historic Inns, visit maple sugar houses and apple orchards, or climb Mount Monadnock
to catch a glimpse of the surrounding foliage.
The region is also the home of The Old Farmer's Almanac, printed every year since
1792.

Merrimack Valley
|
The Merrimack Valley Region is New Hampshire's
government and business center. It is home to the state capital, Concord, as well
as the cities of Manchester and Nashua.

Seacoast
|
First settled in 1623, the Seacoast Region offers
many activities. Take a scenic bike ride along the coastline, or maybe enjoy a
relaxing harbor cruise. There are also many historic sites to visit.
